Patterned shorts

This week is my last week of summer school! But school starts in a couple weeks... but we are going to focus on the now, and be positive that I'm done with summer work! Anyway this Texas weather is continuing to get hotter and hotter! Anything and everything you wear sucks and you just want to walk around in a bikini all day. So wearing lighter clothes seems to do the trick! So I want to introduce you to this outfit that I found and it is so cute and the outside will be a tad bit bearable.

 This outfit happens to be one of my favorites because of a couple reasons. 1. The colors are very pretty and will look good on anyone no matter how tan you are

2. It screams summer. The longer shorts that tie around the waist is very retro and the tank top tucked in.  3. I am very comfortable in this outfit, I like the long look of the shorts because it's different from the high-waisted shorts look. Brings out a different look. 

I purchased this outfit from (Francesca's) for only about $35! And that is a really good price for an outfit like this, because you can wear it anywhere. I think it is very appropriate for almost any occasion. I have it with my brown wrap around sandals, but if it's a date night then you can spice it up with some cute wedges! Accessory wise I wouldn't wear too much because of the pattern on the shorts. I have on a watch and a short necklace. You don't have to do the exact thing, but you don't want to have too much going on with your outfit.  Same thing goes for tops when you are wearing a patterned pant. You always want to find a solid color that goes with the pattern, because if you have 2 different patterns going on at one time it tends to clash. 

I have seen this style of shorts in a lot of stores and they are very comfortable to have on. I can see it becoming a new trend, especially with all the fun patterns on them. I have also seen them at Old Navy with the brighter colors which is very summer time.
